About Tiger Camp

PHILOSOPHY
Located in San Francisco, and in it’s 17th year, the Tiger Basketball Camp emphasizes fundamental skills, including dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding and playing defense. Our coaching staff helps campers translate those skills into game situations. The program appeals to boys and girls who are new to basketball, as well as those who have had vast playing experience. Regardless of the level of play, our #1 priority is to make sure everyone has fun!

STAFF
Tiger Basketball Camp is directed by Eliot Smith, Athletic Director and Varsity Basketball Coach at Lick-Wilmerding High School. Assisting Coach Smith will be student-athletes and coaches from Lick’s basketball program. Eliot has led his teams to the championship game for the last three years in a row and to the state finals in 2008. Eliot was selected as the 2005 North Coast Section C.I.F. Boys Basketball Honor Coach from a pool of 171 member schools in California. This prestigious award was presented to Eliot for his outstanding coaching accomplishments, professional standards and contributions to the sport of High School Basketball.

For over 20 years, Coach Smith has been a mentor and teacher to hundreds of boys and girls interested in learning the fundamentals of basketball and the rewards of playing and working together in a team environment. He has assisted in camps for former Coach Pat Riley of the Miami Heat and former Coach John Wooden of UCLA, as well as directing camps for the Golden State Warriors.
